Mary Tilden (she/her) is currently the Interim Program Director for PlayMakers Laboratory. She has previously served as Education Coordinator since 2017 and a teaching artist with PlayMakers since 2013, with whom she has taught creative writing and drama in over 20 different Chicago Public Schools and led workshops in parks districts all over the city. Mary was a lead instructor at summer camp at the Old Town School of Folk Music arts camp for youth ages 4-11 from 2014-2018. A veteran improvisor and performer, Mary also teaches corporate improv workshops to help build workplace confidence, engagement and positivity. Through PlayMakers Laboratory, she leads professional development workshops to fellow teachers and artists who are seeking new skills and techniques for integrating arts into the classroom and the workplace. With her improv team Devil’s Daughter, Mary has taught improv and writing workshops to college students all over the Midwest. She is very much looking forward to leading PlayMakers Laboratory’s “Stories Out Loud” camp this summer!
