One day a woman named Kim was going to her friends’ house, Keke and KC. But when she
was about to leave she was stopped by her boyfriend. They have been together for 25 years.
When Jack stopped Kim he wanted to ask her something. It was going to be the Marriage
Proposal of the year. Jack told his friend about Joey. Then Jack got down on one knew and said
will you marry me. Then Kim said yes. They got marries. The man said you may kiss the bride.
Then they kissed and lived happy ever after. The End.

Santa is a busy man, especially this time of year. Sometimes being too busy can make you get a little cranky. This week “That’s Weird, Grandma!” is bringing back another Barrel of Monkeys Holiday Classic “Santa’s Mean Day”.

When Santa woke up, he was shocked to see four other people dressed just like him. He was so mad that he had to put his name on the bad list. The elf was shocked
at him, that he put his name on the bad list. The elfs ask Santa, why is you so mean today? He said The elfs left so fast
smoke came behind them. They said I wish Santa was not mean today. Then of on the elfs said I got it. We can throw a
not mean party. Everybody can come and tell Santa do not be mean. We can have milk and cookies for snacks because
Santa loves milk and cookies. then we can get the things to put up. Then we can put up Santa’s favorite game. And then
Santa came down stairs. Then everybody said Surprise and I love you. THE END.

This week That’s Weird, Grandma! welcomes special guest Noah Ginex Puppet Company! These amazing puppeteers and all their incredible animal friends are no strangers to the Barrel of Monkeys stage. They will be bringing with them an original adaptation of the story “Setting: On A Plane” by Mary M. from the Dixon School.
Once there was a woman who was always needing help because it was her
first time here. On the second day no one will help her. Everyone was
wondering who will help her. There was a note sitting on the plane
saying:
Dear Ms. Woman,
You do not need any help.
Signed The Boss
She thought to herself and said that she don’t need any help anymore.
The End.
We are also adding two incredible new stories that have both been adapted into songs: “It Hurts” about feeling FEELINGS by Lois C from the Loyola Park After School Program
and “DEAR HIDOLYA” about Hanukkah by Ingrid P. & Eviatar H. from Skinner North Classical School.

We may all still be stuffed from Thanksgiving, but it doesn’t matter! We at Barrel of Monkeys are going to throw on some sweat pants and loose fitting clothes and dive right into the Holiday Spirit!
Now that we are only one day away from December, its time to start adding in some of our favorite Elves into That’s Weird, Grandma! This week we are adding “A House” by Lucy N. from the Loyola Park After School Program. This story is an incredible tale of many elves living together in a house! You will probably identify with it if you have ever lived with roommates. What’s the worst part of living with roommates or a big family? WAITING FOR THE BATHROOM!!!! Come see this thrilling story unravel like many rolls of toilet paper tonight!
And don’t forget- For the month of November, we are partnering with Ravenswood Community Services to help give give back to our community. Bring any two items from the list below to a performance of That’s Weird, Grandma TONIGHT (November 30th) and receive $10 tickets!
