That's Weird Grandma
TWG Weekly Update
Friends and fans even remotely considering seeing TWG tomorrow,
You should.
I’ve just come from our Sunday morning rehearsal. We’ve rehearsed the two new stories that will premiere on Monday night and they are great.
First we have Untitled (Cave with Cats) where nearly every species of cat, plus a bird pouncer, live in a cave together.
Then, there is Good Days, a dialogue from Dixon school where Lil D and Lil JJ ask Shreana and Micah to go to the movies. The girls are reticent at first, but then decide to go and all is well.
Plus, if you say “Good Days” loud enough for the people at the box office to hear you, your ticket is $2 off.
You will like it.

TWG Weekly Update
On Monday night at 8pm, we’ll be mixing it up big time with FIVE new stories in the show.
Here they are:
Free Lego Sets from January 1 to November 28th
Trip to the Future 1 (dialogue)
The Gun Shot
The Crazy Day
Ferrattos Tomato Basil
Wow. Also, audience favorites Curtis Williams and Michael Govier have returned from an artistic stint in Seattle and will be gracing the Neo stage on Monday.
You can see it all for the low low price of EIGHT DOLLARS if you say “Ferrattos Tomato Basil” at the box office.
Or if you don’t want to say that because it’s too strange or embarrassing, you don’t have to. Ten dollars, please.
See you at the fun.

TWG Weekly Update
Company Members
Hello Monkey friends!
The outpouring of support of the Monkeys on this wonderful celebratory day, “That’s Weird, Grandma”’s 10-Year anniversary, has been overwhelming. As a new-ish member of this crew, I am humbled by the return of so many emeritus members and current company members to join forces to present an epic performance this evening. Twice.
On that note, if you are reading this right now and have NOT purchased tickets, I have some bad news – the 7pm show is sold out! As of this moment (1pm), there are still tickets available for the 9pm, but get them while you can!
Back to the Monkey amazingness. A decade is a long time. I feel as if I’ve only put a toe in the waters of this fine barrel, and thus can take very very little credit for getting us to this significant milestone – but there are many who can, and SHOULD be celebrating their part in making this day possible. I could list you all, but the 9pm show would be sold out before I finished this blog entry. You know who you are. Thank you. I look forward to celebrating with you tonight!
P.S. – Buy your tickets! And so sorry - no discount code at the door this week!

TWG Weekly Update
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is our last week of this round. You have one more chance to make it this Sunday or Monday before things are forever changed.
We’re putting in a lil piece of gold from last year’s Celebration of Authors show entitled, “The Model.”
In it Molly, a model, starts “going overboard” and is told to “take some time off.” But is time off really the best remedy to going overboard? You’ll have to come find out.
Also, we’re adding a dialogue called “Kidnappers” where aliens abduct Michael Jordan from the United Center.
The password for $2 off at the box office is “The Model”
Be at it.

TWG Weekly Update
We have our amazing musical director, Laura McKenzie, joining the cast of TWG and we’re putting in a classic tune of hers that rocked the house at Celebration of Authors way back in 2009.
It is ‘The Love Hunter.’
It is the new piece in the show this week.
It is also the password for $2 off at the box office on Sunday 3/27 at 2pm and on Monday 3/28 at 8pm.
“Love Hunter”.
How often do you get to utter this phrase in your life?
Come to one of the next two shows and not only do you get to say “Love Hunter”, but doing so saves you money.
ONLY TWO MORE WEEKS TO SEE THIS FANTASTIC CAST until it disintegrates and is never quite the same again!
Be there.
