This week we’re adding a classic Barrel of Monkeys gem, arranged and Guest Directed by Company Member Geoff Rice:
WOMEN RAMPAGE By Dante H., 4th Grade, Loyola Park After School Progra
Once upon a time there was a room full of food and men, but no women. Women always wanted to get in that room, but women were not allowed! One day women started throwing rotten eggs at the room because they were so angry that they started breaking in to the room, gobbling the food, and beating up the men. It was a women rampage. Then after all that they rebuilt the room and women were finally allowed to go in.
...and a favorite from the 2012/13 season, conceived and composed by Company Member Laura McKenzie and designed by Company Member Lizzie Bracken:
THE MYSTIC FACE by Kristian W., Picture Day, Learn Campbell Academy
Once upon a time there was a woman who loved computers and digital things. Her name was Abigale. One day, Abigale’s brother Joshua said “Hey Abigale, I bet you won’t go up to that haunted mansion with digital every thing!” “Digitaaaal!!!!!” Abigale said. Then she ran to the digital haunted mansion. But she ran off so fast that she didn’t hear her brother say that there was a mystic face somewhere in there that switches people’s souls with its! So Abigale ran up to the door, opened the door and ran right into the mystic face and they automatically switched souls. The end.
