TWG Weekly Update
Friends! I am so very pleased to announce an addition to the TWG 7 Cast: Company Member Jenny Weiner!
Jenny has been working in New York to develop her play “Horse Girls”, but is taking a break to rock the Monkey stage.
She joins an incredible cast of Monkeys, and this week, we add two new Jenny gems:

He loves pixie sticks. They make him crazy. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. He makes me laugh all the time.
He’s smart, he’s cute. He has a girl on his arm. And I wish it was me. He got braces. But I think he looks cuter.

One time Nilsa and Nilsa were in the ugliest competition on earth. The girls , well Nilsa and the other twin Nilsa were preparing the ugliest girls. Nilsa and the other Nilsa said “I am the ugliest. No I am. No I am.” Well they were why because they were twins. Why were they ugly? “Because they were probably 190 years old of life!!!” It was time of the competition to start. There were many people on it. Why because they can win up to 1,000,000 dollars $. All people were staring and shouting for names. Everyone had passed. Fat, skinny, medium, even babies. At last tehy passed Nilsa and Nilsa to the front. They wanted to be at least in second place or 1st place. Well the winners were Nilsa and Nilsa in first place from the ugliest ones eer in the whole world. They were so happy to be the ugliest in the whole universe! The End.

After School Program
How the time flies! After a quick and intense four-day rehearsal process, the inaugural Teaching Lab Collaborations show is being performed tomorrow morning at the Logan Center in Hyde Park, at the crack of 9am! The whole Monkeys cast was amazingly impressed with the stories from the students at TLC… the humor (the comedic rule of three, for instance), variety of style (horror, fantasy, mystery) and imagination (too many examples to mention) in these stories are all fantastic, not to mention their impressive use of vocabulary and idiomatic expressions (our audience can look forward to hearing about a “newfangled motorcycle” and “eyes that pierce your heart.”)

After School Program
We’re so excited to be starting work on the end-of-the-year show for Barrel of Monkey’s brand new after-school program in conjunction with Teaching Lab Collaborations at the Logan Center in Hyde Park. Today’s rehearsal was filled with feuding French mimes, slapstick jokes on the street, a mega wrestling match, a spy with a sweet tooth, and (as you’ll see in the video clip bellow) space horses, in space. What will tomorrow bring?!
