School Shows

Ah yes. The first school show of the year went down this morning, and in my humble opinion, twas a mass success. Being the genius I am, I forgot my camera to capture some fantastic moments; but never the less there were a bunch of them that made me say to myself, “Ah man that was cool.” Like:
** Hearing the Pledge of Allegiance: led by a little boy named Rodney, who also wrote this amazing story titled, “The Day I Was Walking Around”
** When Govier was hiding from Laura in, “The Fish That Found Friends”, and the kids in the front row started saying… ‘He’s over there!” “Over There!!”
** Everyone in the auditorium joining in for “Rap Music”, and “My Guitar Fun”
But as always, the coolest moment of them all was giving mad props to the authors at the end of the show. When all the classes stood up and took a bow for all of the great stories they wrote over the six week residency, that was too, too cool. Well done guys!!!!
Welp, that’s it for now my friends. Have a great Friday, enjoy the rest of your weekend and as always…. Keep The Peace!!!

School Shows
Hello my friends,
You know one of the best things about doing a school show, is the break neck speed in which it all comes together. And after hours and hours of hard work…. We got ourselves a show!!! That’s right, New Sullivan goes down tomorrow. And if that isn’t enough, it will be the world premier of our brand new closing song; written by our very own Ricky Harris. What! What!! It’s too much I tell ya. But while ya waiting for tomorrow to come, check out some of the pictures from rehearsal.

School Shows
Rehearsal for the first school show of the year is underway, and what a show it will be. After only two days of adapting, our fearless cast have created some pretty amazing plays. A wacky tale about a villian and a robber; a charming yarn about a flying horse and a little girl; and a touching story about a soilder who loses her best friend in battle. (Aw man, this almost brought me to tears!)

Let’s hear it for two of our newest Monkeys: Nancy and Ryan. Yeah!!
But for all the talent that goes into the adapting process, nothing would be possible without the kids. The students of New Sullivan penned some amazing stories. Insightful, funny, personal, and without a doubt thought provoking. If you wonder why I think I have the coolest job in the world, now you know baby!!!!

Reading stories man!

Alba, Brennan, and Levy performing a really cool musical number
The big show goes down next week my friends, and we all hope to see you there. Enjoy the rest of the week and until we meet again…. Namaste!!!
